Good Scar Formation

In 2000, Professor Alan Widgerow (MBBCh), FCS, M.Med, Wits, Plast, FACS) et al, conducted a Metanalysis (multi-trial survey) of 30 years of scientific publications in the area of New Innovations in Scar Management.

The results of this study identified 4 key areas in scar prevention and Scar Management. Further to this, a new trial was undertaken and completed in 2008 to assess the efficacy of a Multimodality Management Program regime used for the prevention of hypertrophic scars. It follows the previous research and experience and adds to these earlier innovations.
